These lessons cover everything from mastering guitar basics to exploring different learning techniques and styles. You'll learn valuable do's and don'ts when learning new songs, how to set realistic expectations for progress, and tips for maximizing your effort.
In addition to playing techniques, we’ll cover essential guitar maintenance: how to keep your instrument in great shape, what fixes you can handle yourself, and when it’s time to take your guitar to a shop.
Instructor John Stalter of Skogland Designs, with years of experience in music and teaching, has worked with both children and adults in group and individual settings. His passion lies in offering personalized support to help students of all levels develop their skills and maintain a lifelong love for playing guitar. John's one-on-one sessions offer the focused attention needed to grow and enjoy this rewarding hobby.
Please note: Our courses are designed to focus on beginner skills and introduce you to a topic, which is why we limit each student to four sessions. This structure ensures a solid foundation while providing the opportunity to explore further learning independently or through other advanced resources.
Course Limitations:
Each student is limited to four sessions as part of the introductory course. If a session is missed without proper notice, this will count towards the total number of sessions, and no extra sessions will be added.
Student Cancellation Policy
If a student needs to cancel a session, they must notify us at least one week in advance. In this case, the student will receive a refund for the session, minus a $5 processing fee per lesson cancelled. This allows us to adjust schedules and accommodate other students if possible.
No-Show or Late Cancellations:
If a student cancels less than one week before their session or does not show up without notice, no refund will be issued. We encourage students to call as soon as possible to avoid this situation.
Rescheduling Procedure:
In cases where proper notice is given, rescheduling a session will be considered only if there is availability to do so. However, we cannot guarantee that a makeup session will be possible within the same course structure.
