Enjoy exclusive access to our studio and create lasting memories as our instructor guides you in making your own ceramic masterpiece! Open to adult and youth groups.     Math Masters The excitement of elementary level Math Masters is back for 6th graders! The Math Masters mathematics competition program challenges 6th grade students to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills in mathematics. Students compete as individuals and on teams in eight rounds of competition held on Friday, March 6 at Bethany Lutheran College. A school bus will bring students to and back from the competition, parents or guardians will need to sign a permission slip. Students’ academic effort and achievement is recognized with plaques, medallions and ribbons in each competition element: Fact Drill, Individual Round and Team Competition. Students will compete in teams of 5. A total of 10 spots are available. Register TODAY to secure your spot.     Have an InstaPot or other electric pressure cooker and haven't used it yet? Are you maybe a little frighted? Perhaps you're just curious! Join us to ease your mind and learn the basics of pressure cooking with other beginners. Bring your own pressure cooker to cook on your own or simply observe and research. Everyone will have the opportunity to taste test and study how several different brands and models perform.
  • Private Swim Lessons

    Individual and small group private lessons available. Individual lessons are one-on-one instruction for those who desire individual instruction, or who just need to “catch up” their skills in order to join a standard class. Small group lessons are a small group (2 - 3 students) that you create, Community Education does not create small groups. Small group lessons are perfect for friends or siblings that are around the same swimming level. Classes are adapted and modified for each individual or small group. Each lesson is 30 minutes long. Each lesson will have its own section. You can sign up for as many or as few lessons as you would like. Please make sure to select the type of lesson (individual or small group) at checkout.   • Professional Learning Series: Early Childhood Professionals Birth-5

    This professional learning services course is provided by MAPS Early Learning Licensed Professionals and introduces some practical applications to enhance your abilities in forming secure, calm and reliable relationships with the children in your care. Gain insight into new ways to understand challenging behaviors and explore strategies for responding to children's social emotional needs. Calm and reliable connection with an early care provider is the foundation for children's engagement and all learning in the classroom.
  • Rec On The SNOW!

    Winter fun just went REC! Join us for Rec On The SNOW Pop Up events throughout the winter and spring! Be sure to sign up! By signing up, you will be given at least 24 hours notice of an upcoming Rec On The SNOW Pop Up event happening in our area. As always, it's FREE! Activities include sledding, broom ball, frozen science, ice art, and many other frozen adventures. Bring your friends for Rec On The SNOW! Please dress appropriately for the events, as there won't necessarily be a warming house. City restrooms will not be available. Grown ups are not required to attend, but highly encouraged to stay for two hours of fun!
  • Red Cross Advanced Babysitter Training

    The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training course provides youth ages 11–15 with the information and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for children. Participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism, basic care, safety and safe play and first aid. Class fee includes the Babysitter Training manual. Participants earn certification in pediatric first aid, CPR, and AED. Participants should bring a water bottle and a cold lunch.

    Saturdays are for crafts! Make wearable and shareable art using tools and techniques that you can recreate at home. We have the items, you bring the imagination! Sign up for all four weeks or just choose your favorite projects. Printing with Potatoes--Begin to explore the art of printmaking by using a variety of different objects to create designs on your own gift wrap and kitchen towels. Beads + Baubles: Wearable Art--Use embroidery floss to knot a few friendship bracelets then pick up pliers to create wire and bead jewelry. Swirls + Dips: Tee Shirts + Tea Cups--Design and dye your own t-shirt then create a swirled tea cup using some unexpected materials. Plastic with Purpose--Using recyclables, design and create sun catchers and keychains.

Each session combines skill development with friendly play, helping kids build confidence, coordination, and teamwork in a supportive setting.
