It is Spring in Mankato and a good time to walk on the lush grass of Glenwood Cemetery and view the beautifully decorated stones of Mankato’s beloved. Join local Historian, Bryce Stenzel for a guided tour of several historical monuments, representing heroes of the Civil War, Betsy Tacy Society, local business leaders and many more. The tour will last 90 minutes and be filled with lively storytelling that brings Mankato’s past into the present. This is definitely a tour for the history lover.
Plan to arrive at Glenwood Cemetery at 8:45 for check-in and instructions. Tour begins at 9:00 am and ends at 10:30 am. Wear comfortable shoes for walking. Dress for the outdoors including bug spray. There are no restroom facilities on the cemetery grounds.
