Introduction To Automotive Engineering & Testing

Youth / Classes / Science + Technology -
Fall 2024

This hands-on camp will give anyone ages 14+ a look inside the Center of Renewable Energy (CORE Building) on the campus of Minnesota State University! You will see the laboratory of the Minnesota Center For Auto Research, a real engineering lab where research, design and innovation come together for real world solutions. Get inside a car on the chassis dynamometer, aka a "rolling road" or "dyno" and help test how fuel economy is measured for gas powered vehicles and how range (distance) is measured for electric powered vehicles.

Join students and staff from the Automotive Engineering Technology Program at MSU Mankato and get hands on with automotive testing!

This course will be held on the campus of Minnesota State University Center of Renewable Energy (CORE Building). Address is 421 Malin Street in Mankato.  Click Here for Map, RE is the building in the top left hand corner. Parking is limited and in areas marked in yellow on map.
