The world is changing and the ladies of the church prepare for changes of their own below the House of God. As always, you'll laugh until your side-dish hurts with their hilarious antics and down-to-earth charm from within the church basement. This is most certainly true! Welcome Spring! Let's kick off spring with a trip to the Como Park Zoo & Conservatory. From animal exhibits to stunning plants there is so much to see and do! After a long winter, the sights and sounds of spring will make this trip a must. We will begin with a hearty lunch at Dangerfields in Shakopee for lunch. After lunch, it is on to the zoo where you can stroll along at your own pace. The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is a massive, annual, themed event in Shakopee, MN, recreating a 16th - Century European village. It features 16 stages of entertainment, 250+ artisan booths, live armored jousting, and themed food like turkey legs. This bus trip does not include food or souvenirs. Registration fee is for transportation and admission to the festival. Our coach bus will drop you off at the COACH BUS entrance. There is a location to pick up scooters near this gate. We remind all guests that reserving and returning a scooter is a detail you will handle on your own on a need basis (but should be done in advance for best results). It’s guaranteed to be a full day, so wear your comfortable walking shoes! This trip has 2 pick up locations. Join us for a historic and scenic tour of Hastings, MN with 60+ sites on the Minnesota Historic Registry. This trip will be a guided tour, rich with autumn scenery and Minnesota history dating back to 1856. We will have our own tour guide and visit a variety of "must see" destinations, including but not limited to: City Hall, Carpenter Nature Center, Vermillion Falls & Hastings Lock & Dam #2. We will dine at the Confluence Hotel in downtown Hastings. Lunch will be provided by Missi's Sip & Savor. We will be touring sites both indoors and outdoors. To be most comfortable on this trip, you will be dressed for the weather and have clothing and shoes comfortable for walking indoors and outside. If you are not interested in stairs or need a little down time, there will be options throughout the day to "sit out" a portion of the tour and still be fully satisfied with all of the sites and sounds of the Fall Season, coupled with the historic charm of Hastings. This is the perfect trip for adventurers who love the outdoors, enjoy Minnesota History, like the variety of both walking and sitting, and are looking for the perfect spot to view peek colors of the season.
