We have expanded our open hours! Now the Lincoln Community Center Pottery Studio is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
The Studio Use Purchase is $40 and allows you 8 visits (or 24 hours) of studio time! That is $1.66 an hour, what can you do outside of the home, other than enjoy nature, for that low of a cost?
Our pottery lab is equipped with potter's wheels, slab roller, extruder, glazes, greenware storage, and newer electric kilns. This is not an instructional class. Artists should be able to use the studio and equipment independently, but a studio supervisor will be present for technical questions.
The studio, managed by Mankato Community Education Leisure + Enrichment Program, keeps in inventory high quality supplies and equipment for artist use. The studio and CE cannot be held responsible for work that in the process of drying or firing is damaged or broken. The studio will be closed on days / evenings when Mankato Area Public School closes due to weather related closures.
In our studio, you pay based on use. We only allow clay sold by our studio. We know the products we use / sell to students are safe for our kilns and will produce a good quality product.
