A fantastic opportunity for adults to enjoy a creative project alongside the young people in their lives. Bring your imagination and bond over a fun, hands-on experience that both kids and adults will love! This course is open to anyone aged 11+.
Whitney Dirks (she/her) is a self-taught magpie who is drawn to bright colors and old things. She has been working with textiles since 2020, embroidering swears on vintage table linens, salvaging midcentury embroidery to appliqué on clothing, and turning woolen jackets into polychromatic soft sculptures. She has taught embroidery workshops through the Textile Center in Minneapolis, the Arts Center of Saint Peter, and Mankato Area Public Schools.
