Join us prior to the Mankato East High School Cross Country Invitational at Benson Park for a fun 1K race along the course! Students will have the chance to enjoy a run on a portion of the same path that high school athletes will compete on. Students in 3rd -5th grade can enjoy an introductory experience of a cross country race.
The race begins at 2:45 PM, with check-in starting at 2:30 PM so students can pick up their bibs and get briefed on the course. All participants will receive a goodie bag at the finish line and get to keep their race bib as a keepsake.
This is a free event, and parents or another adult must provide transportation to and from the race. Families are encouraged to stay, cheer on their runner, and stick around afterward to support the Mankato Cross Country teams during this invitational!
What to bring: water bottle, tennis shoes, and weather-appropriate athletic wear.
