Early Childhood Family Education -
ECFE Winter 2024-2025

"Building Emotional Intelligence" is a specialized parent-child class designed to foster social-emotional learning in children aged 0 to 5, while equipping parents and caregivers with the tools and knowledge to support their child's emotional development during these critical early years.

Through age-appropriate activities, games, songs, and guided discussions, "Building Emotional Intelligence" provides a foundation for parents and caregivers to understand the importance of social-emotional development in their child's overall well-being.

Key topics covered in the class include recognizing and labeling emotions, promoting self-regulation skills, fostering empathy and understanding, enhancing communication with young children, and creating a secure and nurturing environment for emotional exploration. Additionally, parents and caregivers will receive guidance on managing common emotional challenges in early childhood, such as tantrums, separation anxiety, and transitions.
