  • Mankato Area Public Schools Preschool and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten

    Where It All Begins! Scroll down to see class options. Click on the class option or enroll to register. MAPS preschool is a fee based program that offers high quality programming and age appropriate learning for children ages 3-5 years old. Income based scholarship opportunities are available. For questions on tuition rates, please visit our MAP preschool website. There is a $25 non-refundable registration fee for accepted registrations. You will not be charged a registration fee if the class is full. MAPS preschool includes voluntary pre-kindergarten (VPK); a state funded/tuition free preschool option. To be eligible for VPK, you must reside within the Kennedy or Washington elementary attendance boundaries. Your child should be 4 years old before September 1st, but cannot be 5 and age eligible to attend kindergarten. Eligible and accepted VPK contracts do not have a registration fee. VPK funded seats are limited. Once full, you will be placed on a waiting list. Please reach out to our office if you need this information translated or need support with registration. Calm and reliable connection with an early care provider is the foundation for children's engagement and all learning in the classroom.
