This program welcomes participants from ANY boys sport going into 7th-12th grades in the Fall of 2023 and is aimed at improving overall physical strength and anaerobic fitness. This program will be a 2 hour session, 3 days a week. Participants will spend half of their time in the weight room working on core strength and stability. Training on how to do lifts properly will be emphasized. Once athlete shows ability to perform lifts safely, a personalized weight sheet will be developed for them pushing them to gain strength. The other half of the time will be spent outside working on linear speed, lateral speed, and conditioning. Training will emphasize proper running form, drill work to properly transition through different phases of running, lateral movements, and quick change of direction movements. The goal of this program is to enhance explosiveness for athletes in all sports at all levels. Coach's bio: JJ Helget, Head Football Coach, 17 years at West (7 years Head Coach).
