  • Design Your Own T-Shirt!

    Have you ever wanted a T-shirt with your very own design on it? Now’s your chance! Students will work to design their own custom T-shirt using digital graphic design tools. A professional screen printing company will turn the design into a real life T-shirt and ship it to your house! Experienced instructors will teach students how to run the software and guide them as they turn their visions into a reality! No prior experience needed! The address of the person enrolling students will be used to mail the finished T-shirt, be sure your address is up to date! This camp is presented by COR Robotics. The mission of COR Robotics is to inspire a passion for robotics in students, with the hope that the student will participate in their local FIRST programs, and further develop a passion for STEM fields/robotics.
  • Drone Racing Camp

    Students will learn how to fly like the pros in the Drone Racing League by training on a flight simulator. After learning drone safety and maintenance, students will take a drone to the skies and compete in numerous races and challenges. Led by experienced instructors, students will leave camp with the skills and knowledge to pilot drones and keep them running. The drones used in camps have cameras, and are perfect for entry level pilots. No prior experience needed! This camp has two cost options: $110 - Instruction and a drone to use while in camp $170 - Instruction and you can bring home your drone to own after camp is complete This camp is presented by COR Robotics.   • Intro to Animal Science

    Do you feed your pet the best food? How do you know? What are some ways to restrain my pet if they get hurt? Pets are a major component of most families in our community and across the country. The pet industry is a $72 billion industry in the United States and offers a variety of careers from a veterinarian to a nutritionist, breeder, or care giver. In this course, we will learn some basic hands-on animal restraints, health care procedures (vaccinations, sutures, and nail trimming), and some basics about animal nutrition and diets. Instructor bio: Robin Tidd is one of the Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resource teachers at Mankato Area Public Schools. She received her degree in Agriculture Education from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. At Mankato Area Public Schools she teaches courses relating to animal science, plant science, food science and natural resources.

    Dive into the captivating world of creativity and technology at our Intro to Digital Art summer camp! This immersive three-day program combines hands-on learning with engaging digital tools, offering a dynamic journey into digital art. Students will explore the fundamentals of digital drawing and apply what they learn to an exciting real world application. Through a partnership with No Grit No Pearl, students will be able to get their favorite design printed on a canvas or t-shirt which will get shipped to their house after the camp! Intro to Digital Art is the perfect blend of fun, skill development, and boundless imagination, providing young artists with the tools and confidence to bring their visions to life.   • Intro to Vet Science

    Animals play an important role in many people's lives and it is important that we know how to care for them. This 3 day course will be hands-on to learn skills including how to give injections, suturing, basic wound care, and how to check for vital signs. Whether you are interested in a career with animals or learning more about caring for them, this course is for you!   • Rocketry (Build & Launch Your Own Rocket)

    ROCKETRY 5 Sessions: Grades 2–6 Celebrate 33 years of Rocketry with Paul Christianson by building your own rocket and launching it into the sky! The rocket you build will be reusable and is yours to keep. Students do not need to bring anything the first day, instructions for purchasing a rocket will be given during the first class. Cost of rocket not included in registration cost. Specific instructions on rocket choices, where to purchase rockets locally, and Friday launch details will be shared during the first class. The instructor will have rocket kits for purchase, or you may purchase on your own through a hobby store. Cost of rockets and materials can range from $12–$40, (depending on size and style). The planned location for the Friday Rocket Launch is the soccer park next to Rosa Parks Elementary, beginning at about 8:00 am. Friends and families are invited to bring a lawn chair and watch. Factors such as wind or rain may cancel the launch event or postpone the launch to the following week.
