Adaptive Golf ProgramAdults with DisabilitiesWe have adopted the SNAG®(Starting New At Golf) program to teach all golfers how to play this enjoyable lifelong sport. Our coaches understand the importance of fundamentals of form in teaching swinging, putting, and body positioning. The SNAG system uses modified equipment to implement the curriculum developed by PGA professionals. The Exceptional Grip is designed for players with physical challenges holding on to traditional or original SNAG® golf equipment. All are welcome! Participation Guidelines All participants must: Be 16 years of age or older Be able to inform staff of wants & needs Have a basic understanding of personal safety Be able to care for personal hygiene Be able to manage personal behavior If unable to meet these guidelines, please bring staff to accommodate your needs. Walking miles and burning hundreds of calories on a beautifully landscaped golf course is a great way to stay in shape. Golf is a great way to meet people, to spend quality time with family and friends, and build professional relationships. We will provide all the tools you need. Included in the total fee is access to the driving range, putting/chipping green, range balls and rental clubs! Our adult golf program has been designed to create a low-pressured environment so you can enjoy your first golfing experience. Key concepts include grip, stance, alignment, scoring, etiquette and important safety rules on the golf course. Adult Tennis - Hitting Drills & GamesSportsAdult tennis drills and games have become a worldwide, fun group activity for adults featuring tennis drills to give players of ALL abilities an ultimate, high-energy workout while improving their tennis ability. The session includes a warmup, hitting drill technique sequence, and group games/match play to end each session. This program will elevate a person’s heart rate into the aerobic zone and burn some calories too! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! The instructor will accommodate all ability levels – this includes beginners! New and previous participants will walk away with increased knowledge of the game of tennis. Boat Tour With Lunch, Padelford RiverboatsAdult TripsJoin us for a Fall Sightseeing Cruise along the Mississippi Narrated, 90 minute public excursions depart from Harriet Island in St. Paul. Sights along the way include: the St. Paul High Bridge, Pig’s Eye Cave, the Minnesota River mouth, Pike Island, and the timeless splendor of the mighty Mississippi River. All Sightseeing Cruises offer a fully stocked bar and limited snacks available for purchase onboard (please no outside food or beverage). Lunch is included. This is called a picnic cruise. This meal is plated and brought out to the tables. CRAFT LABArts & CraftsThe Craft Lab is located in room 152 of Lincoln Community Center. This space is to be a positive resource for Mankato area crafters of all levels. We have equipment and supplies available for use that include (but are not limited to) sewing machines, work lights, and many crafting tools. Our lab is spacious with long tables and plenty of room to spread out and work on anythng from sewing to scrapbooking, knitting, quilting or anything in between. The Craft Lab is open for individual use by punch card. You may also reserve the space for your group. EXTENDED OPEN POTTERY STUDIO (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY)Arts & CraftsThe Open Pottery Studio at Lincoln Community Center is open on Monday evenings from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. If you want to schedule additional hours to use the studio, you may book 2 hour time slots to use the studio and equipment (outside of the regular Open Studio Hours). Each 2 hour reservation is equal to a single punch on your (Open Studio) card. Day hours preferred. You must call in advance to book a time(s) to use the Pottery Studio. Make your reservations by calling (507) 387-5501. Pieces are fired ONLY by Studio Staff when there is enough pieces to run the kiln.Winter/Spring 2023

Fagen Fighters WWII MuseumAdult TripsThe Fagen Fighters WWII Museum is an aviation museum located in Granite Falls, Minnesota. The museum is made up of three display hangars, a restoration hangar, a reproduction Quonset hut, and a reproduction control tower. We will have a guided tour of the exhibits as well as time to explore favorite exhibits at our own pace. We will stop on the way for lunch on our own.Summer 2023

MONDAY OPEN POTTERY STUDIO AT LINCOLN COMMUNTIY CENTERArts & CraftsPurchase a punch card ($39) and clay coupon ($25) to use the Pottery Studio facilities at Lincoln Community Center (110 Fulton Street) in Mankato. Users of this space will have access to high quality equipment potter’s wheels, slab roller, extruder, glazes, greenware storage, variety of hand tools and NEW electric kilns. This is not an instructional class. Previous experience is required. The studio manager will be present to help with technical questions. All users must agree to a general use statement that allows our facility and equipment to be well maintained for all artists.Winter/Spring 2023

Masters Swimming ProgramAquaticsAges 18 and Up, Under 18 must be accompanied by adult Designed swim workouts. Lanes are divided by ability, and workouts (swim strokes and yardage) are scaled to each lane. Ability is determined by 100 yd pace. Participants are able to self-select lanes - lane pacing is a suggestion and not a Lane 1 1:05 - 1:20 Lane 2 1:21 - 1:30 Lane 3 1:31 - 1:40 Lane 4 1:41 - 1:50 Lane 5 1:51 - 2:00 Lane 6 2:01 - 2:10 Aquatic programs are located at the Mankato East High School Pool. SPAM Museum Tour & Mower County Historical SocietyAdult TripsThe SPAM Museum in Austin, MN tells the history of the Hormel company, the origin of Spam - a brand of precooked, canned meat product, and its place in world culture. After a guided museum tour and the opportunity to explore favorite exhibits on your own, we will be off to lunch at Barley's Family Restaurant. Meal cost IS NOT included with the trip. Trip participants will order off the menu and pay on their own. This restaurant has entrees that feature SPAM meat products. After lunch, we will continue our history lesson with a tour of the Mower County Historical Society. The Spelling Bee will include prizes, snacks and fun memories. This event sponsored by Mankato Area Public Schools' Community Education & South Central Service Cooperative. Water Safety Instructor ® CourseAquaticsEarn your certification to teach American Red Cross swimming and water safety, and gain the skills needed to teach courses and make presentations to swimmers of every age and ability. Through our Aquatic Instructor Training program, you can help recreational swimmers meet their goals, refine their skills and stay safe in, on, and around water. Water Safety Instructor (WSI) ® course trains instructor candidates to teach all of the courses presented in the Swimming and Water Safety program to all age groups; learn-to-swim courses including Parent and Child Aquatics, Preschool Aquatics, Learn-to-Swim Levels 1-6, Adult Swim, and private swimming lessons. This certification is the gold standard and provides the most comprehensive training for swim instructors.
